Nexo Card vs Wirex

Same data as the table, side by side. = we paid it ourselves.

Both are custodial cards concentrated in Europe and the UK, and both dangle high cashback — but the fine print is where they differ. Wirex’s top reward rates and lowest FX generally require staking its WXT token and paying for a higher plan tier, so the headline number is not the default experience.

The Nexo Card’s twist is credit mode: borrowing against your crypto instead of spending it, which keeps your holdings but adds liquidation risk. Wirex is a more conventional spend-your-balance card with plan-based pricing.

Choose Wirex if you will commit to its token and plan to unlock the good rates; choose Nexo if the borrow-against-collateral model fits you and you accept the risk. The table shows which fees we have verified versus taken from the provider.
